A few updates
I have made a few changes to my policies and procedures, in line with current good practice. The policies and procedure pages have been updated. I’m happy to talk parents through the changes, or provide hard copies.

Menus and allergen information
I now need to publish information about allergens that may be contained in the food I give the children. I have put a page of typical menus on ‘About us‘ which includes allergen information but please make sure I know about any allergies your child has.

KCC – Shaping futures
Kent County Council have published their Early Years and Childcare strategy 2014-2017. If anyone wants a copy of the summary leaflet (or full document) please let me know. 30/07/14
Policies and procedures
I have reviewed all my policies and procedures. They are still in line with good practice and with statutory guidance. I have updated the names of a couple of organisations and made a few minor amendments. I am always happy to discuss these.

Learning is not just for children
I have just completed an NSPCC ‘Child Protection Awareness’ course, having done ‘Basic Food Hygiene’ and ‘Data Protection’ before half term. All useful updates and reminders on important areas of work. 01/05/14
Birthday celebrations
Enjoyed catching up with celebrating all the birthdays that happened over the Easter holidays. Always good sharing cake.
